Definition

Four of the best loved stars from The Indian Dream Hotel will travel to the far east and far west to look at which is the better place to live out their old age.

Both stops will offer a unique fish out of water experience and a radically different take on old age to the UK. Which way is better? Florida’s seemingly-Utopian retirement villages or Japan’s lifestyle that leads to incredibly long life expectancy. Our cast will spend five or six days in each location. Just like The Real Marigold Hotel, they will keep their trip as immersive and authentic as possible by aspiring to live like a local in every way, whether that means testing out robotic care assistants in Japan, or buying guns from Walmart in Florida. The result is a globe-trotting documentary with real purpose and a clever investigation, all fronted by four much-loved ageing personalities.
