Davina McCall (Big Brother, Long Lost Family) hosts this unique primetime entertainment series, featuring ordinary people on a mission to transform their lives in extraordinary ways, over the course of 12 months.
In a television first, This Time Next Year delivers these incredible transformations in an instant via TELEVISION TIME TRAVEL. Once each pledge is made, the guests leave the studio through the ‘THIS TIME’ doors, ready to begin their challenge but just moments later will reappear through the ‘NEXT YEAR’ one to reveal if they have achieved their pledge.
In each episode Davina meets an array of individuals including a lady with a 10 stone pledge, a family hoping for a little miracle, a girl determined to turn herself into bodybuilder, a double leg amputee hoping to walk back through the doors and a young man dreaming of breaking records at the Paralympic games. It’s incredibly emotional and filled with a warmth and kindness as the audience witness each individual in the pursuit of their remarkable goal.
Following its hugely successful launch on ITV1 (UK) where it smashed the ratings, the series has been recommissioned for a further two series, a second season in Australia, and is in production globally across 14 territories to date.
