This Time Next Year is leading the way in TELEVISION TIME TRAVEL, showcasing hit after hit of real life transformations.

The show captured hearts and minds around the world as the fastest selling format of 2016. Following the successful launch in the UK, it was recommissioned for two further series on ITV, a second season in Australia, and is in production across 15 territories globally.

In this unique studio based entertainment format, people transform their lives in extraordinary ways over the course of 12 months. Pledging to achieve a huge range of ambitions by 'this time next year', their goals range from dramatic weight loss to becoming a parent, finding the love of their life to walking for the very first time.

To the audience, the incredible result of that year is almost instant, as contributors leave through the 'THIS TIME' door and re-appear moments later through the 'NEXT YEAR' door. What is a year for the contributor is an instant for the viewer.

The HIGHEST RATED new entertainment / reality format in the UK 2016.

This Time Next Year was the MOST VIEWED new entertainment or reality series on the UK terrestrial channels (2016).

The first season averaged 3.7 MILLION with an average share of 15.6%.

Across the series it reached 14.2 million individuals, 24% of the UK population.

In the TOP 3 highest rated weekday entertainment programme on a terrestrial channel (Adults 16-34). 

Popular with younger viewers, +29% FOR WOMEN 16-34 yrs, than the channel's weekday average.

Season two performed well, averaging 2.3m viewers across the series.

Viewing levels increased steadily over the first half of the series, achieving over 3.1m average viewers. 

No.2 most viewed family entertainment programme on the UK TV schedule throughout its run.


Premiere was the NUMBER 1 show in the country.

Debuted with 1.28 million viewers and peaked with 1.48 million.  

The HIGHEST NON-SPORTS PROGRAMME in its timeslot on any network in the current year. 

The show achieved a share of 35.6% of the FTA audience and a commercial share of 44.6%.

This Time Next Year has been a clear timeslot winner across ALL DEMOGRAPHICS throughout its run.

Consistently remained the NUMBER TWO SHOW (5 City - first 6 episodes).

The ratings smash hit has already been commissioned for a SECOND SEASON.


VRT Belgium: Premiere smashed the slot average with 34% market share and has continued with this average across the series.

Discovery Real Time Italy: Premiere smashed the slot average.

SVT Sweden: Premiere reached nearly 1 million viewers.
