Definition

Everyone has a story to tell about how we, or a loved one, have been treated whilst in hospital care. But what is it really like to be a nurse?

Nurses To Be is a fascinating, observational documentary series which shadows a range of student nurses at different stages of their training. It reveals the pressures, emotions and challenges they face, both in the classroom and on the wards.

From trying their skills on dummies in the classroom, to their first real patient contact on the wards – viewers get an up-close-and-personal understanding what it takes to qualify as a nurse, as well as what medical professionals at all levels have to face in reality when emergency situations arise. It’s an informative, intimate portrait of some of the men and women who choose to devote themselves to a career on the frontline of our healthcare system.
