Twofour Group’s factual and factual entertainment brands have been in high demand with international broadcasters following Asia TV Forum.

BBC Studios has bought a package of shows for its channels in Asia, Africa and Europe. In Hairy Bikers Route 66, the Hairy Bikers duo captured audiences in the UK with their epic trip across the famous stretch of nine states, soaking up the local cuisine and communities on the rustic trail.  This has been acquired for BBC Lifestyle in Asia. In Africa, BBC Lifestyle has acquired The World’s Best Restaurants; while Boomerang’s Sinkholes series one has been acquired for BBC Earth across Africa, Poland, CEE and the Nordics, with the second series also acquired for BBC Earth in Africa and Poland.

A+E Networks Africa has secured the rights to a high-volume package totalling 30 hours of Boomerang’s award-winning show Extreme Cake Makers. Discovery will air the latest series of Impossible Railways across Asia, and The Indian Dream Hotel On Tour (The Real Marigold on Tour in the UK).

Across in Europe, SVT Sweden has licensed the latest offering of Impossible Engineering. Now into a fifth successful season, this global science and history series has become a hit across more than 120 territories. Also for the Swedish territory, TV4 looks at the topic of obesity in The Junk Food Experiment.

Sales were brokered by Senior Sales Executive Rob Bassett who attended Asia TV Forum offering a brand-new slate of formats and finished shows, plus returning titles from the group’s 1800 hours of content. Rob said, “These titles continue to prove their value both in the UK and internationally. Alongside a strong slate of unscripted shows launched at the recent market, it’s been a very positive year.”

The titles include new compelling format Skin, which sees skin experts treat the troublesome conditions of affecting young people’s lives, Boomerang’s heart-warming Christmas special The Secret World of Toys at Christmas, and Twofour’s luxury series World’s Greatest Hotels, plus Boomerang’s Death and Destruction: Nature’s Revenge (4 x 60’) and entertainment juggernaut What Would Your Kid Do?.
