Twofour expands its reach into Latin America with a landmark double commission for local adaptations of What Would Your Kid Do? and heads to MIPTV with a new formats slate.

In their latest deals for the worldwide format, Boomerang TV Chile will make a local version for Canal 13, while in Uruguay, Saeta Tv Canal 10 has commissioned producer OZ Media to make 16 episodes to air later in the year.

What Would Your Kid Do? has now been commissioned in a growing number of territories, including Belgium, Turkey, Hungary and recently Russia, as well as options in Canada and India. More than 250 million minutes have been viewed globally on YouTube since its launch in 2018.

The hit format challenges parents to guess how their children will behave in a variety of classroom challenges and real-world activities. In studio, the host observes alongside the parents as they try to predict what their child will do in each new situation, providing a fascinating, heart-warming and often hilariously surprising insight into the minds of children. The UK version, hosted by Jason Manford, attracted 3.9 million viewers for its launch episode and 18% share, smashing the ITV slot average and making it the best performing new factual entertainment show on ITV in almost a year.

The sales was brokered by Eniela Bella, VP Sales, EMEA & Latin America. Eniela Said: “It’s a truly great moment for the company to see two brand new territories come on board for this format. It’s travelling incredibly well for us, and I’m confident of its continued success globally throughout the coming year.”

Twofour Rights will launch its newest formats at MIPTV, including Beat The Chef, The Secret Teacher, The Junk Food Experiment and It’s Your Fault I’m Fat. The team is at ITV Studios House.
